Dong Trieu – Potentials, investment opportunities

Dong Trieu is a new town, locating in the western gate of Quang Ninh province. The town’s natural land area is about 396.6 km2 and population of over 170 thousand people, with 11 ethnic groups living in 15 communes and 6 wards. Dong Trieu is a land of spiritual land and excellent people with a long tradition of patriotism and revolutionary struggle, where is the root of General Le Chan – the talented General in the period of The Trưng sisters and the original homeland of powerful Tran dynasties in the history of Vietnam.
Dong Trieu town is location of the first cell establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the mine area, contributing to create the indomitable, steadfast, disciplined, concentric traditions. Moreover, Dong Trieu is an important transport hub where begins roadways, waterways and railways connecting with major centers such as Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hanoi and other provinces. In the international integration trend, locating in Northern key economic area (Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh), and on the economic corridor Nanning - Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, Dong Trieu town has been played an increasingly important role, opening up opportunities for economic development, social culture, of which tourism economics and services is one of our strengths.
Located at the gateway to the west of Quang Ninh province, Dong Trieu is situated at the intersection of three key economic zones in North Vietnam – Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.Dong Trieu lies in the middle of National Highway 18, with provincial highways 332, 333 and 345 connecting the town to others within the province. According to Noi Bai – Ha Long highway project planning cut through Dong Trieu, creating favorable conditions for further development of economic activity. Dong Trieu Town borders Son Dong district and Luc Nam district of Bac Giang province in the North, borders Chi Linh town of Hai Dương province in the West, border Thuy Nguyen district of Hai Phong city in the South and borders Uong Bi City in the East.
